Mark Channon

Channon made his debut for Southampton at the age of 17 years in the year 1966. he went on to spend eleven years at Southampton between 1965 and 1977 and his highlight at the Dell would have to be regarded as winning the FA Cup final with the club as they defeated Man united in the final. He later on enjoyed spells playing for Newcastle United, Bristol Rovers and Norwich city. He made 46 appearances for England and was a key part of their 1974 world cup qualification campaign.

Terry Paine

Paine is without doubt one of Southampton’s finest ever football players. He possessed incredible ball crossing skills and had a knack of scoring great goals for the club. He spent eighteen successful years with Southampton between 1956 and 1974 and scored a total of 160 goals in over 700 appearances for the club. No other player has played as many games for the Saints as Paine did. He earned 19 caps for the England national team between 1963 and 1966.
