Mark Wright

After starting his career off playing for Oxford United he spent five years playing for Southampton between 1982 and 1987, a place he impressed significantly enough to earn a call up to the England team. After five years with the Saints he moved to Derby County before signing for Liverpool in 1991. He played for England on 45 occasions and scored one goal for his country in a match against Egypt in the 1990 world cup.

Steve Moran

Moran was without doubt one of the finest ever strikers that Southampton has ever possessed. He had a knack of scoring some crucial goals for the club and had a fine understanding with Steve Williams and David Armstrong up front. He was a fast striker who was honoured as the PFA Young player of the year in 1982.
